Site visit to Welcome Building®

On a sunny December morning (08 December) we were welcomed in by the Welcome Building® to take a look around the space for the new major public art commission.

We were joined by artists interested in applying for the commission and explored the development in The Temple Quarter, Bristol; with our hard hats and high-vis, the visit allowed a firsthand understanding of the space, it’s dimensions, materials, environment, sounds, and potential possibilities.

Upwards view from stepping out of the entrance where the artwork will be installed

The site visits are a chance for artists to visualise how their practice can integrate and complement the location at The Welcome Building; and hear about the sites history.
