Join the Bricks Team: Four New Roles Shaping What’s Next

Bricks is recruiting for four amazing roles!

As our team grows and projects expand we are looking for motivated people to become part of our exciting and impactful  projects, both at St Anne’s House and beyond. We are sadly saying goodbye to our current Head of Operations who is retiring, and thinking forwards to how to make sure we have a team structure that works for what is ahead, which may include you!

These roles invite four different sets of skills and types of people to join Bricks, bringing meaningful and flexible opportunities and appealing to a range of different interests, all working together to create impactful opportunities for local and creative communities to thrive. With various part time and flexible roles, as well as a new senior role at the organisation, it’s a great time to become part of the Bricks team.

We’re excited about who might join us, as well as the point this marks for our team as our remit expands, developing our Public Art and Creative Infrastructure Agency into a new team. This team will be key as we look to take on new spaces and an increasing number of public art commissions, as well as completing  a community asset transfer of the building to Bricks which will unlock the opportunity to run a capital development programme to retrofit the building and secure its future use and viability.

We’re particularly keen to hear from those who are from groups underrepresented in the arts and community sectors, knowing that our work will be stronger the greater the diversity in our team.

If you want to find out more about each of the roles, click through to the individual job pages, and download the associated job pack which includes full details of the role, application process and FAQ’s.

The roles:

Head of Creative Infrastructure and Public Art

This is a new senior role leading the strategy and delivery of Bricks’ Public Art and Creative Infrastructure Agency, with a focus on growing both into sustainable, impactful enterprises. The role will oversee strategic planning, partnership development, and the securing, contracting, and delivery of new public art commissions and creative infrastructure spaces. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of this work as Bricks expands its remit and takes on new opportunities.

Public Art Producer

The Public Art Producer will play a central role in our public art function, leading on the devising and delivery of public art projects in collaboration with the wider Bricks team, artists, developers, communities and local authorities. The postholder will produce public art projects including onboarding clients, devising and developing public art plans and strategies, artists briefs, artist selection processes, project management and evaluation.

Facilities Coordinator

This is a hands-on role that combines day to day facilities management with forward planning to keep St Annes House thriving for everyone who uses it. Based at our bustling creative community hub, you will be the key point of contact for building users, contractors and external partners. The role ensures the comfort, usability, and accessibility of the space are ensured so that thousands of people can continue to benefit from it being here.

Fundraising Lead

This role will play a central role in coordinating fundraising activity across the organisation, submitting bids and managing fundraising tools. You will work with the team to ensure that there is resource for the exciting things we want to do with creative and local communities and ensure a coherent and strategic approach to income generation from a range of sources.
