Major Commission Open Call for South West Artists! NOW CLOSED

We are very excited to have been appointed by Candour (recently acquired by Tramwell Crow Company) to produce a major new Public Artwork, for the Welcome Building, ( Welcome Building® ) Temple Quarter, Bristol.

The breakneck rate at which new buildings are emerging in Temple Quarter, is nothing short of historic and the Welcome Building at 4 Glass Wharf, is no exception to this trend. Once complete (Summer 2024), it will create a landmark, all-electric, high spec workspace that will also provide a platform for creative events, interactive and public artworks.

The building will mark a key gateway into the redeveloped Temple Quarter area, sit alongside a new groundbreaking Bristol University Enterprise Campus and mark the start of the famous Bristol to Bath cyclepath.

Bricks is now running an open call for a £100k+ public artwork commission and seeking proposals that will resonate with the boldly designed and highly sustainable building.

The artwork will form the main entrance to the building and support the building’s welcoming and socially responsive environment, reflecting contemporary and future ways of working and living in this newly developed quarter of the City.

We are particularly excited to receive proposals from artists who have strong connections to Bristol and the South West.
