For and by St Anne’s community
Shaped by those who live locally in St Anne’s, the past year has seen the community self-organise and develop regular activities and meet-ups. From their Morning meet-ups, to their Shared Reading sessions, the people who live, work, and pass by the area have been getting to know each other on a weekly basis.
The projects for St Anne’s House community projects, including vibrant family days, such as Spring Thing and Autumn Fete have been steered by St Anne’s Action Group (SAAG), a group of local residents that formed to shape the project and ensure it meets local needs and ambitions.
We are forever growing and making new things happen together as a community in St Annes. We’d love to hear from you about any ideas or thoughts you might have on how we can test out new ways to connect.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, St Anne’s House opens its doors for creative activities, free teas and coffees, guest speakers, and collaborative reading sessions for those living, working, or passing by.
The morning sessions are free and the members are beginning to grow the sessions themselves, choosing how they’d like to spend the time and what they’d like to be doing. All are welcome to these sessions.

So far we have held masterclasses as part of Bricks Young Creatives and an Art Club in partnership with the Creative Youth Network.
The activities saw local Bristol artists share their practices and art, as well as collaborative sessions with theatre making and song writing.

Our mission in fostering the building is to serve the local community by up-cycling the space into an accessible and welcoming environment for all. We are doing this whilst in collaboration with members of the St Anne’s community.
