Morning Meet-ups
Thursday Mornings, 10am – 12pm, Free
Join in our regular morning socials, with mixed creative activities and a chance to chat to new people.
These meet ups are open to everyone, it’s a great couple of hours to drop in and get to know those who live nearby over a free cuppa. If you have a creative skill you want to share with the group, get in touch!
Upcoming sessions:
27 October
Learn about Spooky Seasonal Ingredients and make a Halloween themed paper cut illustration with Food & Drink illustrator Jess Knights. Create different textures on loose paper and cut these out to form still life shapes. Paints and paper will be supplied. Local seasonal veg supplied by Hugo’s Greengrocer, Bedminster.
The meet-ups started back in March 2022 and have been weekly since.
We’ve had brilliant mornings led by group members, Bricks staff and guest creatives.
Some of the sessions have included:
- Delftware Pottery found in St Anne’s with Amber the Bristol Museum Applied arts curator.
- Tufting and Tea with Bristol-based artist Francesca Simmons.
- Nature printing with artist and St Anne’s House tenant, Anna Haydock-Wilson
- A summer tea party, with homemade foods and nature printing
As a group we have also had a go at weaving, made protest signs, grown sunflowers and made clay pots!
