Archiving Glitches with Dhaqan Collective
From 22 October – 06 November we hosted in RELAY Dhaqan Collective.
A feminist art collective of Somali women, Dhaqan Collective centres the voices of womxn & elders in their community, privileging co-creation & collaboration.
For their time in residence in RELAY, Dhaqan Collective will explore the patterns that connect the sonic archives of Somali spirit possession rituals, finger weaving and EDM (electronic dance music).

What happened?
On Friday 22 Oct, Dhaqan Collective hosted a sharing of work evening, where they discussed their practice, the patterns that connect Somali spirit possession, finger weaving and EDM.
From 23 Oct – 04 Nov, the exhibition was open at St Anne’s House for the public to attend.
